Of course the ATL
He's just playing the politics. Endorsement & Sponsorship money can reach in the hundreds of thousands to the lower 6 figures depending on ur level of popularity. He's doing nothing different then when Cudi left Good Music but stated that he has nothing but love for them when he probably really hates Kanye's guts but you never publicly fukk up future potential money. Ross apologizes to Reebok after getting drops shows maturity & almost guarantees that he'll be picked up by someone else. Reebok more then likely cut him a check as well just in case they ever pick him up again... also it looks professional from a business standpoint...

He's gonna get another Sponsor... but had he been on some "Keeping It Real" ass shyt & slandered Reebok's name & cussed them out etc then no one else would care to do "business" with him again... y'all gotta understand this is his money we're talking about... He's gonna do what he has to to make sure he stays in position to get more in the future...

Breh I agree with you in principle, but corporate sponsors aren't gonna be looking at the prepared statement apology, they're gonna reflect on a rapper who suggested date rape & "enjoyed that" on record. They're gonna also remember the boycotts outside the corporate offices & the boycotts at campuses & universities across North America.

Ross's didn't have to give an "official" apology & he still would be in the same boat as he is now. The "apology" gains him nothing

just goes to show if people really wanted to end all this gangsta rap shyt about killin other black men they could..... artist only do wut people allow them today

you see how quick Ross bowed down

imagine if Reebok pulled endorsements from rappers that rapped about guns and killings?

Ross shouldn't of apologized IMO, his rep is already tarnished, he just ride it out at this point as a nikka who don't give a fukk, he would get a lot more respect for that artistically

Not every battle is worth fighting, when your opposing force are women/ feminists there ain't much to gain for you in the public eye
the molly line wasn't smart anyway and is absolutely nothing to stand for

if he was really in character he'd have gone into some anecdote about running into Whitey Bulger at the strip club and Whitey telling him in the midst of making it rain how cherished a creation females are and how much those words always stuck with him

So now that he realizes his music has influence over lives when is he gonna apologize for the gun and drug talk? When is he gonna say sorry for inspiring young black men to kill other blacks? Since there's no outcry or pressure to do so he'll go back to his M.O which is Tony Montana theme music.

Rap is art and entertainment

He painted a picture, like it or not wut he rapped about goes on (slippin Molly into drinks), just like tha killing and dope dealing

He's just as hypocritical as them for backing down on tha feminist issue, instead of not "selling out"

No sponsor is going to pick him up now, so why apologize now? He lost respect in both circles...might as well stand for something

I agree that his situation may be different... but perhaps after the storm calms down & the fake outrage subsides he would have a better shot eventually of getting endorsement or sponsorship & they MIGHT overlook the issue...

But I DEFINITELY could see no future corp giving a shyt about an apology letter but its a shot in the dark... I don't think Luda ever got anything else after Pepsi... & he's a much lighter contented artist then Ross... :beli:

It wasn't a full 12 bars but gotdayumit it moved me. I can't wait til the beat drops. Cool and Dre? Yeezy? I'm thinking Khalded might lace him with something slow, with some strings so you can hear the pain.

When is he going to apologize for stealing the name of a real street hustler?
