Not so much just the content, but the flow, cadence on top of the content. This is some real high level rap right here.

I'm probably going to catch hate but Rozay is entering God MC status.

Lets be real honest to if we look at Biggie and Rozay and examine their catalog, Rozay is the superior artist. Biggie might be the GOAT when we look at technical skill, because Biggies flow is insane, but in regard to actual content Rozay imo can sit at the table with the likes of Nas and Jay.

I think we hold bias to biggie because he is our Rap Mike Jordan when it comes to those of us who grew up in the 90s but if we are honest, technical skill aside Jay and Nas have passed Biggie. I think Biggie is the Barry sanders of rap. His career was too short (not his fault) to be able
To have an honest discussion of where he sits overall when ranking his career.

Rozay imo would is going to go down as a top 10 GOAT, and if he continues to improve him being top 5 will be undeniable.

People try to hold album sales against ross but who gives a damn, examine the music. Ross is literally the only rapper who I can say I see improvement with every release.

If Ross was never a CO and didnt lie about it I gaurentee folks would not treat him as some kind of second tier MC.

Rozay raps them raps and holds his own and every song he has been on with an elite MC.

I'd love to see Rozay and Jay elec do a song over a soul sample.

I think he leveled up twice in my opinion. Obviously the first time on DTR, and he was pretty insane from DTR to Rich Forever. Then he started doing a lot of trap, and the lyricism faded a bit (still better than 95% of rappers).

Then after that, he leveled up again on Mastermind imo. And tha was the birth of this new Ross we see. Which is honesty my favorite version.

(Mastermind, Black Dollar, Black Market, RYTM)

I'm loving this album so far.

I agree with this for the most part, but I don't include Mastermind with that run.

Mastermind was weak to me outside of Mafia Music 3. :yeshrug:

What he did on BD/BM/RYTM now is more in line with the best stuff from Hood Billionaire (Family Ties, Brimstone, Trap Luv, etc).

Well, I got time today cuz. Today I got time. So I'm gonna offer my rebuttal.

I don't think there's an argument for Ross being a greater artist than Biggie. Because I still don't believe that Ross has a project as good as RTD, or LAD for that better. And until he does that, than there should be no talks about him being a superior artist.

Remind you, I'm not someone who thinks that someone newer can never surpass someone older. I got Kendrick lappin' one of the goats before his time is up to be honest.

As far as big being the Barry sanders of rap, it's all just a matter of what you prefer. You want a concise but extremely high level discography (Big) or you want the long, and still very good discography, like Ross. It just depends on your preference.

Of course, goat lists are all opinion. Most people have the big 4 in their top 4, so if you think Ross has a shot at top 5 who am I to say otherwise.

He's not and will never be a second tier MC. We're just in a generation where people think that sales determine quality which is stupid. But as far as skills and projects go, Ross is pretty much as great as anyone.

He has his place and history, and no one can take that from him. CO, not a CO, whatever. He's a hell of a rapper and artist. He put the time in.

Biggies career was to short to truely analyze him and call him GOAT. It isnt fair to him nor the artist you are comparing him to.
This is only true if they have a project that is as good as his best work.

It's true for someone like Kendrick who has a GKMC and TPAB under his belt.

I still believe that the best of Ross is yet to come. I don't think he's peaked quality wise.
