what year was it exactly that Ross stepped his pen game up? I honestly never used to fukk with his shyt when he first dropped in my personal time, only listened to his shyt when i went out...Anyway, son's pen game is immaculate, one of the best writers the south ever produced

This is only true if they have a project that is as good as his best work.

It's true for someone like Kendrick who has a GKMC and TPAB under his belt.

I still believe that the best of Ross is yet to come. I don't think he's peaked quality wise.

This. I can see kendrick becoming the best ever if he drops another classic. Ross doesn't have that stone cold classic. Still a great rapper thought. If you think this album makes him a top 10 goat then do u. But compare his best work teflon don to albums like gkmc, illmatic, the infamous, tpab and the blueprint and you'll see why people don't even mention Ross in the all time great convo

Ross was big in 2012 and all the way to 2014. 2014 was a terrible year for ross music wise. Mastermind was average and hood billionaire killed his hype.
