Regarding his fakeness, it's obvious he's very fake to some extent and tells a lot of :duck: as do 99% of rappers (though he does more than most).

But is he really as totally fake as yall are making him out to be? He did roll with that Boobie Williams dude right? Why would a big ass drug dealer fukk with him at all if he's this absolute clown y'all are making him out to be? He's obviously a prolific liar, but he seems like a regular hood nikka at least. If so, that would put him in a category similar to dudes like Nas and Biggie who dabbled in the streets and knew real killers and hustlers but lied about being Mafia type coke bosses...just in character a little more. It's not like he's Boss (the female rapper) or something.

But what do I know. I'm not his biographer. He makes dope music and that's all I really care about.

EVERYONE ALREADY KNOWS THIS EVEN HIS STANS KNOW DEEP DOWN. BUT DONT WANT TO ADMIT IT. I'VE LOST COUNT OF THE AMOUNT OF TIMES HIS BEEN EXPOSED AS A LIAR AND A FRAUD.

THE FUNNY THING IS HE LIES SO MUCH HE FORGETS WHAT HIS SAID AND HE STORIES KEEP CHANGING.

HIS LIKE A ACTION MAN FOR KIDS TO PLAY WITH AND ENTERTAIN THEMSELVES BUT THEN THEY GROW UP AND MATURE AND MOVE ON.

Problem is, none of his grown ass fans want to grow up in their minds. :ld: For all we know, nikkas will still want to turnt up, drive expensive cars, trick on hoes till they are old and grey and nothing more than that.

He exaggerates but he's speaking on situations most real nikkas can relate to and feel.

Like Norieaga owing him a hundred favors? :heh:

Losing $40M over the span of 1 song? :heh:

Hes as relatable as a movie. Its pure entertainment. nikkas cannot use 'real' and Rick Ross in the same sentence.

I wouldn't say I'm a Ross fan but I listen to some of his joints from time to time mainly for the beats. My take from reading threw this thread is cats trying to compare being a C.O. to other lies rappers tell in their music. Ross being a C.O. and lying about it goes directly to his credibility as a rapper. It's like when I listen to him I got a smerk on my face at the same time because all the Kingpin talk been exposed. It's not like the C.O. stuff is a urban legend or something. We actually have pics of this dude in uniform and getting a certificate it's like you can't even make this up. It's unreal because in Hip-Hop where your street cred is supposed to be so vital to who you are, a former C.O. raps mainly about being a drug kingpin and it's tolerated and he's one of the biggest artists right now, that's crazy.

if the backwardness of our community breh....cats are actually upset that ross isnt really a killer/drug dealer....

just think about that for a second :wow:
I think the point is that Rick Ross goes into this comical drug king pin
persona. It'd be fine if he dropped the persona off the mic but he doesn't,
he's always "Rick Ross", I mean even 50 Cent finds time to be Curtis.
Repeat after me:

1. Rap music isn't real.

2. All rappers (and all musicians) "lie". That includes your favorite rapper.

3. Gangsters don't rap. If you're rapping and doing crime, you're doing one or both wrong and will fail.
Tell that to dudes in prison setting up cypher's daily.

"All rappers lie" isn't something I'd say is accurate, I think rappers do embellish for artistic
reasons but some of them still manage to craft realistic aspects of their lives.
J. Cole for example isn't really out here cheating on his wife to be and long time girlfriend
but I think he does skillfully paint pictures of temptation and unfaithfulness.
School Boy Q and Jay Rock are really certified, they aren't studio gangsters,
though they obviously engage in embellishment and aren't out in the streets like that anymore.

We the same community that shyt on black nerds for academic accomplishments while worshipping killers and poverty. :ehh:
Speak for yourself, it's pretty obvious you think very little of black people.

I don't get you Ross stans. He didn't cover up being a mailman, a Walmart cashier, or a plumber. He was a CO. A fukking corrections officer. What's worse is that even with the overwhelming evidence that's been disclosed, he denies it completely. I'll be the first to say he makes good music, but he'll never be more than a cartoon character. He will never be considered a legend because of it.

You proved my point for me. If you're rapping in jail, you're a failure.

I would love for someone to outline these rules that so-called hip-hop fans live and die by, because they shift by the minute. If 50 Cent hasn't sold a gram in 10 years, why does that make him less of a liar than Rick Ross if he talks about it? How exactly do you know what Rick Ross did anyway? I've personally sold pills, can I talk about a life of crime on record? People who go around calling Ross names like MC Gusto, will gladly pop in a CD where Too Short talks about never loving hoes, knowing he's on TV with his marital issues. The fact of the matter is, people move the goal posts depending on who they like and who they don't like.
