You proved my point for me. If you're rapping in jail, you're a failure.
I would love for someone to outline these rules that so-called hip-hop fans live and die by, because they shift by the minute. If 50 Cent hasn't sold a gram in 10 years, why does that make him less of a liar than Rick Ross if he talks about it? How exactly do you know what Rick Ross did anyway? I've personally sold pills, can I talk about a life of crime on record? People who go around calling Ross names like MC Gusto, will gladly pop in a CD where Too Short talks about never loving hoes, knowing he's on TV with his marital issues. The fact of the matter is, people move the goal posts depending on who they like and who they don't like.
He's profiting off a man's life, all the way down to the bald head and beard. And he was a CO. And lied about it. He also stays in character 100% of the time. He makes good music but you can't fault anyone who doesn't fukk with him because of his credibility issues.
Lllllll
Your first point still isn't accurate, it's a
weak generalized statement that doesn't account for reformed cats like Jay rock,
YG or Nippsey.
Second I didnt outline any rules in my post
so your whole diatribe in defense of Ross was
not only weak but pointless seeing as how I listen to Ross.
Before I end my post I will say I do have my own personal criteria that I judge rappers by whether that falls in line with the general consensus within Hip Hop is another discussion entirely.
the truth hurts
It goes for any and every rapper. They either do exactly what they say or they don't. Not used to. Not saw someone do it.
The Ross stuff wasn't aimed at you specifically.
My point is simply this: either all rappers are liars or none of them are. That's all I'm saying.
you'd
The devil is a liethe truth hurts

The devil is a lie![]()

Regarding his fakeness, it's obvious he's very fake to some extent
For all those saying Rick Ross is nice on the mic please tell me a song where he told a good story. Can't be nice without good storytelling ability.

This is what I'm saying...
Like real stories from when he was growing up or rapping with Trick Daddy and Trina trying to get on..
Its crazy because I felt like I learned more about Cyhi the Prince in one mixtape than I've learned about William Roberts in 5 albums
Has he ever even mentioned or paid homage to the real Rick Ross on a song ever?![]()
