Logic Is Absent Wherever Hate Is Present
What makes Ross a real artist to you? That's because you don't lksten to Ross. Ross got a nice catalog. Most of you fukks say all his songs sound alike, that's total bullshyt.

He stays in character a bit longer than most, and I think it's a combination of trolling and a possible mental disorder

If I'm lying or saying something that's not logical let's discuss it. nikkas ran Vanilla Ice out the game for far less than what Ross is getting away with.translation: threadstarter doesnt like rick ross, and didnt feel like posting it in the 18 other rick ross threads

I don't consider Actors as Artists. Denzel isn't walking around like Alonzo from Training Day when he gives interviews either.or trying to understand the artist's plight in life....who cares?
do nikkas watch movies with the same thought-process? do you think you know denzel because you watched 'training day'?
these nikkas are 'entertainers'...thats it thats all
I'm saying Rick Ross is the biggest liar hip hop has ever seen. I dare you to find a bigger one.youre basically saying that rick ross is exaggerating in his songs...
did u just start listening to rap?![]()
Real talk. Pac was loved because he revealed his vulnerabilities, same goes for Eminem. You can't be loved if you stay in that fake ass boss character.

...he only pretends to have been...I agree and that's what attracts the initial intrigue but I'll never forget the line 50 spit on In Da Club "They like me I want em to love me like they love Pac" the reason Pac was so loved is because of that empathy for his people and the fact that he was willing to be vulnerable by talking about how poor he was and the fact that his moms was on drugs and shyt like that. If 50 made more songs like his first verse on "Hate it or love it" he would still be relevant and they would at least love him like they love EM. If you stay on that street shyt and don't reveal true emotion you'll never touch nikkas souls. That's not exactly true. Yes, fans connect with emotion, but the hyperbolic, sensationalized personas on and off record attracted a lot of their fans also. Many were fascinated by the controversy and the image.
The 2 biggest artists of all time revealed the most about their real life. I don't think that's a coincidence. The reason you know Em's family is because he was so unguarded musically. He talked about getting bullied which just about everyone can relate to. He talked about his Pops walking out on him and his issues with his mom. You know his daughter name and even his little brothers name. You even know about his uncle Ronnie and I'm not even an Em fan like that and I know all this shyt because dude revealed that shyt.breh...actors are artists....
you know why ross and other rappers act like that..... because their fans expect them to. didnt jay z say in the documentary for the black album that rappers are afraid to be themselves for fear of what the fans will think? this all goes back to that....
you know how ridiculous this is? cats are mad at ross because he wasnt/isnt a real drug dealer.......he only pretends to have been...

What's the difference between Rick Ross and Mack 10 in the 90's besides Mack really doing some of the shyt he rapped about? Mack 10 stayed in character too and he had multiple gold albums but he never was loved. Ross has the Def Jam machine behind him so he may be relevant longer than Mack was but their careers will be seen the same way.
What do you mean? He got a good flow. I don't care if he was a drug kingpin or a janitor, he can rap and make great full length albums. Something the likes of Young Jeezy, Eminem, Jay-Z & 50 cent have failed to do in recent memory. What makes Ross a real artist to you?
He never would've gotten a second album. He resonated with people because they could relate to him. I'd be surprised if Ross ever received a royalty check. Def Jam probably barely breaks even with his albums. Ross doesn't have a lot of fans. He has enough to go gold but for an artist that gets as much radio play as he got and has the popularity he has he should do more than gold. He does Boosie numbers with more way more airplay and promotion.so? that was eminem...
that worked for him...if em woulda come out talking about slangin and killin....what would cats have said? he did what worked for him. on the other hand if rick ross wouldve come out talking about how messed up his fam was....who wouldve listened?
everybodys path is different...you might not like ross or how he does what he does...but obviously dude has a lot of fans. ones who dont care if he did what he raps about....
i never take to heart what any of the nikkas rap about. i know people do tho...seems foolish to me to do that
