Rick Ross will never be loved because he lies too much

He'll never be a legend because he's never dropped an album that changed the game, nor has ever been part of a movement that history will remember. To be fair, although I haven't heard the latest album, he has consistently put out above average music. I'm still waiting on him to drop something nuclear but I don't think he has it him. I like Ross and his persona doesn't bother me as Hip Hop has a long history of outlandish personalities and colorful characters. He stays in character a bit longer than most, and I think it's a combination of trolling and a possible mental disorder, but it is entertaining. Which is what we want, right? Are you not entertained?

What do you mean? He got a good flow. I don't care if he was a drug kingpin or a janitor, he can rap and make great full length albums. Something the likes of Young Jeezy, Eminem, Jay-Z & 50 cent have failed to do in recent memory.

He never would've gotten a second album. He resonated with people because they could relate to him. I'd be surprised if Ross ever received a royalty check. Def Jam probably barely breaks even with his albums. Ross doesn't have a lot of fans. He has enough to go gold but for an artist that gets as much radio play as he got and has the popularity he has he should do more than gold. He does Boosie numbers with more way more airplay and promotion.

What's the difference between Rick Ross and Mack 10 in the 90's besides Mack really doing some of the shyt he rapped about? Mack 10 stayed in character too and he had multiple gold albums but he never was loved. Ross has the Def Jam machine behind him so he may be relevant longer than Mack was but their careers will be seen the same way.

Mack 10 wasn't even poppin like that in the 90's. Nowhere near being the hottest or one of the hottest nikkas in the game.

People buy shyt to be entertained but the theme of this thread is he'll never be loved. I actually go out and purchase music of artists that I connect with. When it comes to lying ass frauds like Ross I burn baby burn and I refuse to even do that anymore when it comes to dude. That 92 million dollar lie was too much and that skit with the white bytches was the icing on the cake. I'm done listening to dude, I know I've been lied to by artists before but dude takes it too far.
