Your reading comprehension can't be as bad as you're showing. Ricky said he's not capable of being the vocal leader the team needs, not that he was banking on him to do so. If you read the interview he said there's different types of leaders. It coulda been Martin or it coulda been him. He's saying Love's not a vocal leader, which is fine. That's not breaking news.
If anything during that interview Ricky was more critical of Adelman.
