And Serge Ibaka is the best defensive 4 in the league. You dudes only think about offense and Bosh only averages 1 point more than Ibaka and is less efficient.
Because Bosh defers to LeBron and Wade too much in Spo's system. When one of them is out, he's putting up 20+ a night with ease. We saw what happened when Ibaka had to be the second option in last year's playoffs. :usure:

Check Ibaka's field goal % if he shot more he'd score more. Sounds simple but he defers as much as Bosh does, plus he changes games with his defense.

Spurs figured Ibaka out as the WCF went on. He's better as a weakside defender. Duncan went at him consistently near the end of Game 6.

If we're talking one year and I need someone to average 20+, Bosh is the pick.

If Serge has a real coach though :wow:

He made himself sit in the corner, more than anything else.
Chris Bosh is going to fight an MVP candidate and a GOAT for the ball? Everyone saw he was immediately the odd man out back when the Heat got together.

He's the guy who's sacrificed more than anyone else. Dude learned how to be a great PnR defender (I think he actually was the best PnR D big in the league last season) after never being tasked with defensive duties like that at all in Toronto and learned to shoot from when Wade obviously couldn't/refused.

It really sucks to see what Spo allowed to happen to this guy. To casual fans, Bosh is only good through word of mouth. People don't remember how this dude used to dominate as a 1 man show up in Toronto.

Also - Ibaka's a great weakside defender but he's legit terrible when it comes to post defense. Outside of the blocked shots, he offers almost nothing defensively all too often. On top of that, he can't create a damned thing for his team on offense. He HAS to be spoonfed and pointed in the right direction. You'd think that with guys like KD and Russ he'd be able to eat on the offensive glass because defenses would be extra ready to jump out for those guys but instead, Westbrook outrebounded him on the offensive glass this year in the playoffs - when it was clearly Ibaka's time to prove he could replace Harden as a contributor in whichever ways he could.

He has himself to blame for that one -

Miami Heat big man Chris Bosh doesn't go into the post nearly as much as he used to. In fact, it's pretty rare that you see the Heat running post-up plays for Bosh. Much more of his attempts come from pick-and-roll plays or spot-up jumpers, despite him being the biggest guy on the team. There's a reason Bosh no longer posts up all that much too; it's to conserve energy for other parts of the game.

Bosh told the media after Saturday's shootaround that he doesn't "bang anymore," because he has to conserve energy and it's not a strength of his. From the Sun-Sentinel:

The only way Heat center Chris Bosh will see himself playing in the post again is by watching old highlight videos.

Bosh made it even clearer Saturday his days of living on the block are gone.

As in R.I.P to his post game.

"I don't bang anybody anymore," Bosh said. "It's a tired thing for me. It's not my strength and I understand that."

This is another desperate forced-in third act from dudes trying to blame LeBron for not scaling back his game just to replace the other picture of when he was 'fading in and out of games'. Bosh's lack of assertiveness and his subdued demeanor are the main reasons why his game suffered.

It really sucks to see what Spo allowed to happen to this guy. To casual fans, Bosh is only good through word of mouth. People don't remember how this dude used to dominate as a 1 man show up in Toronto.
The people that actually watched him during his Toronto days do remember how good he was, it's the dudes that didn't watch him who disregard his ability as a player. But let's be honest here, we're afford him the benefit of nostalgia, but on the other hand we're quick to shyt on Kevin Love for throwing and pulling down empty stats. If the roles were reserved, we'd still be here choppin it up about the same shyt (if Love was forced to play a different role + providing no difference from the butterfly effect).

Also - Ibaka's a great weakside defender but he's legit terrible when it comes to post defense. Outside of the blocked shots, he offers almost nothing defensively all too often.
See now I would've agreed with you if this was 2011/2012, but Ibaka has improved his man-to-man/post defense drastically. Despite the fact he isn't the greatest post defender, he's still one of the best anchors in the league.

All reasons why you won't get an argument from me on him being better than Bosh.
