I think the thunder could beat the bulls in 7 maybe 6. It's all about matchups the Jazz just couldn't guard these young athletic nikkaz and they damn sure couldn't keep pace with them offensively.(stockton was AWFUL offensively at that point) The Bulls were an old team, that benefited playing the Jazz. And yes I think a healthy heat could beat the 98' bulls.

you just solidified your position as either a teenager or a clown

either way, after that quoted statement, im leaving this back and forth debate with you because you just went into "WTF is he smokin' realm"

:what:

nikkas was ready to write dem same 3 franchise players off each series after da Knicks dis year. fukk is you talmbout breh? :dwillhuh:

Cause bosh was hurt, the only reason the Pacers were I the series was because of his absence. The pacers and Boston lose in 5 if he's 100%.

Them teams had no shot against this stacked heat squad

Ring chasing at 25 years old? What part of the game is that?:what:

The heat won and that's great, but when 3 franchise players join up together are we really surprised that they won?

What Lebron did would be like Jordan joining the lakers before the 90-91 season with a top 5 player(magic/wade) and then adding a top 15 player(Barkley/bosh).

Or if Shaq joined the Lakers in 02' with a top 5 player in Kobe(Wade) and another top 12-15 player in Dirk(Bosh)

This shyt is unprecedented

Joining an already established team=ring chasing. Joining a team as building block not so much. BTW Shaq joined a 50 win Laker team in 96. Great players have been winning with other great players since the NBA started. That's the way it's been and always will be. Beyond that let's not act like Bron just rode nikkas coattails. The nikkas put up 30 and 10 for the entire playoffs and played all 5 positions on defense. They won, he beasted, just accept it and move on.

nikkas wanted Bron to stay in Cleveland with Mo Williams and rot while every other contender in the league has multiple legit star players

This.

Give me Mike because he was close to Bron in reb and passing but far beyond in terms of scoring and scoring efficiency. Better one on one defender while Bron is a better help defender. Mike steals one in 07 and doesn't let last year happen.

First off it wasn't the same Cavs team due to injuries and People leaving

Secondly, Lebron quit because if they beat the celtics or won the chip he couldn't leave to go to Miami like he planned From the 08' Olympics with wade and bosh.

They were up 2-1, but once he saw there was a chance they could win, he tanked and said fukk it. Them losing one las time gave him the built in excuse to go to Miami like they all planed

It worked out, but let's be real

Who the fvck left? JJ Hickson, Big Z fat and flabby Shaq :stopitslime:.

:ohlawd: He was a FREE AGENT!!! He could have just as easily left if he won the title, more so even because he would have had a lot less stress and pressure on his back when he went to join the Heat.

Did it ever occur to anybody that he was having a bad series and his teammates where playing magnitudes worse than him so they couldnt win!

Breh I got not problem with you, but you know damn well Lebron couldnt leave Cleavland if they won the chip in 2010. What would his excuse be? I couldn't win with them? You just won:childplease: with the Cavs losing he had his built in excuse

That's like Jordan leaving the bulls after their first chip. That would never happen

I think that's where u messing up at breh....

Nobody was changing teams in the 90s like they are now. Free agency was on a completely different level than it is now. Shaq was the one that really shook shyt up. There is no telling what Jordan would have done in today's free agent market.

Why would he need an excuse to leave! He didnt demand a trade he was a free agent. Him winning a title in Cleveland would only have been good for him, in terms of critizism it would be damn near non exsistant.

He could say "It took longer than I liked but after 7 season I accomplished my goal and brought a title to my home state and now I want a new challenge, as well as the oppurtunity to play with my good friends Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh" then insert witty line or joke about no taxes in Florida
and your done.

Either way, its still Mike handsdown

27 year old Mike would have SHREDDED that Dallas defense in last years finals

Jordan was a better offensive player and he was better on defense. He wasn't as versatile as lebron on defense, but he was better

Nah.

Atheist for Jesus
40 year old mike chucking and getting hot for a few games on the wizards doesn't mean he'd "dominate" this era fukk outta here.

He got to play a lot of one on one ISO ball against undersized unatheltic defenders. The zone defense basically stopped Lebron in the finals, every single time the Mavs went to it, Lebron was just non existent.

Member game 6 when he came out HOT?( I think made like 3-5 baskets Ina row) what happened literally the minute the Mavs switched to Zone? He was finished
I mean look at this defense

YouTube - Michael Jordan 45pts vs Utah Jazz 1998 NBA Finals Game 6 *Last Bulls Game

And then look at THIS defense

YouTube - 2008 NBA FINALS: Kobe Bryant vs. Boston Celtics Zone Defense

It's night and day. Mike was lucky to play in the era he played in

?
SO your argument is that because the game evolved MJ couldn't play now? You assume he wouldn't evolve too. It's hard to compare defenses now vs then simply because of the zone. IMHO 1 v 1 defense was better then because YOU HAD TO know how to do it, which means the double and triple teams MJ went up against were against defenders who knew how to play defense, not guys who relied solely on sagging to the middle.

FYI jordan's best years where when he was shooting, the zone woudln't do much for that.

Kobe is sick in his own right and his own day but POUND FOR POUND (meaning taking into account the different eras and adjusting for certain things like defenses and offenses) MJ would still be a dominate and great player today.

And you act like 40 year olds get "hot" all the time in the NBA. The fact that you bring up "age" when it's convenient for you but disregard the fact that at 40 dude was still able to run and gun AND dominate games in his 40's; we're not talking robert parish "dominate" by playing, were talking 20.ppg his final season with a shyt team putting up 40 in 3 games and 20+ points against teams like the lakers...40 years old mind you that's an old man playing a game against KIDS almost half his age...

Also take into consideration that shyt grows and changes so an apples to apples comparison will always be hard. Training techniques, nutrition, LEARNED and APPLIED experience from couches and players all that factors in. The game is more complex now for sure, but also more scientific and you have to factor that in when trying to compare the two. (how much you want to be 2 raw eggs were a part of the "nutrition" package for some of those players and that was cutting edge.)

What's scary is that in spite of all the applied science and experience a decade later and dude at 40 could still play the game...dominate? NO but be effective...honestly i bet those knees are killing him, but the fact that he might even come off the bench is fukin amazing.
