For those who were kids in the 80's, Colonel Abrams was part of the soundtrack to our youth. Especially coming up in Newark where house music is prevelant. Reminds me of cookouts, block parties in the summer, watching my older cousins get dressed on a Friday/Saturday night so they can hit up the Zanzibar, Paradise Garage, Club 88. So many great memories.

RIP

Colonel Abrams was a trendsetter and would have been bigger if Stock Aiken and Waterman hadn't jacked his style

My father used to play at Paradise Garage and did session work with West End and Prelude Records in the 80s..met most of the biggest music acts back then, he always maintained before he passed that those were the best times of his lives and when music in general was at it's best.
