Damn D. 3 Albums. 3 Classics. The Perfect example of quality over quantity. He's a Legend. I copped "Brown Sugar" in summer of 95. "Lady", "Brown Sugar" and "Cruisin" were huge. Don't get me started on the AZ remix for "Lady". Then he hit us with all the rap collabos. So many great songs. D'Angelo was all about quality records. He barely had any weak songs. He laced "Devils Pie" from Premo. "Voodoo" was huge at the turn of the century. Then he took a decade off before dropping more heat with "Black Messiah". Last I heard he was working with Raphel Saadiq again for his next album for this decade. He was not just a great singer but musician. With the Angie Stone news earlier this year it's even more tragic. Peace D'Angelo. Neo Soul King.

Brehs I’m really sad man, one of my earliest memories was being a 3-4 year old with my Uncle and Mother buying and playing the Brown Sugar/Lady singles, this feels like I’ve lost a family member.

This guys music has been a constant in my life since I was basically born and he’s in my top 5 artists of all time, wow, at least he gets to join Miss Angie Stone now, RIP my idols.
