Takeover was a××, bait song...
Here the truth no feelings involved. Takeover took guts to create Mobb Deep and Nas two of hip hops legendary acts. Not to mention Jay called out anyone else who was coming at him. You forgot Jada and DMX dissed him and Beanie Sigel on Jadakiss album. Jay-Z called out everyone.

Blueprint a classic album it led to one of the biggest battles in the history of hip hop. Jay-Z and Nas capitalized people basically wrote Nas off until Stillmatic. So yall can give Takeover credit for helping to inspire Nas to give us a classic album. Mobb Deep gave us a lukewarm album. That’s just the truth.

All that can be true from your perspective but I thought/think it was/is an a** song...baiting fools...

I don't hear what people hear to rave about the song...

My Gats Spittin was aimed at Jay and the Roc

Nas had a point about the Unity in Destroy & Rebuild.

Gotta give credit where it's due - Jay was up against three elite rappers on three separate fronts: Nas, Prodigy, and DMX (and by extension Ruff Ryders). If the roles were reversed, I’m not sure any of them could’ve managed that beef as well as Jay did.

Nas and P pretty much refused to engage with Beans when he aired them out in his freestyles.

Prodigy really believed in his heart he really could beat up Jay Z
Read his book or at least the part where he addresses Jay in there, he said he had the doors packed with his people and Jermaine Dupri ran out of the doors while Jay Z walked up with his hand out and said it's just music right? At least from his words when he saw Jay with all of his peoples.... Then again if you are surrounded and alone or with JD alone so being way outnumbered will do that if you want to walk out.

I think the audio might also be on youtube.
Just one I found but don't know if it is addresses that situation at hand in the club.

Real weird era for P. Not only did he issue a weak response after Takeover hit him harder than it did Nas, he went from dropping consistently fire verses on Murda Muzik and HNIC to whatever Infamy was. And in the midst of that Nas smacked him upside the head on Destroy & Rebuild.

Had to be a combination of health issues and substance abuse. It was crazy disappointing he dropped such a weak response after subbing and baiting Jay for years.
This. I think he touched on it before. He was having a difficult time with this health at this point. Glad he had that solo renaissance later in his career starting with Return of the Mac.
