I agree 100%. I've also come to understand that a lot of people - even the people who received the racist disrespect - don't want to stop liking their "favorites" because they don't want to ruin their fond or childhood memories of that person.

So they make excuses "oh, it's just the way he grew up" "he was a product of his time" but he's not a "bad person".

It's no secret that a lot of our favorites wrestlers (especially from the South) were probably racist AF. But for me there's a difference between suspecting someone of being racist, and a confirmed or self-admitted racist.

Sabu was a confirmed and self admitted racist. I can't rock with that, but to each their own.

he brought the tables to North America, at least that's what many say.

when the lights would go out and it would turn back on and he'd appear in the middle of the ring, always fire.


Last time I saw a video of his was one of those YouTube physical therapists was working on Sabu and everything he did to him that relieved his pain made Sabu feel younger. I don't know what caused him to die but I always wonder how these wrestlers wake up every day with those permanent injuries knowing when, where and how they got em.

As we get older, we just have to make peace with the fact some of our memories are tied to a$$holes, racists, bigots, pedos and pieces of shyt. Most of us are just hearing this, going damn, probably having a flashback of him doing a Air Sabu on someone and then going back to Mother's Day activities or whatever else our Sunday is.
