During the development of the Carrera GT, famed Porsche tester and man with gigantic brass attachments Walter Rohrl told Australian website Drive that he was actually scared of the car and wanted them to fit traction control because of the unpredictable behavior at the limit:

He didnt prove anything wrong, The GT is a known to be a very difficult car to drive well. Yes in the right hands it can do wonders. But overall in my opinion the are other cars such as the Ford GT the gives similar performance and is far easier to drive. Yes in the right pro driver hands the Carrera GT is a more capable car but its not $300,000 more capable than the Ford GT in my opinion. If you disagree thats fine too.

Compared to others cars in its class no its not. It's handling is not impressive and other near exotic cars are faster.
