Well Julius Randle is from Dallas. :yeshrug:

Nerlens Noel fell off hardbody from what he was supposed to be. But he would give the Lakers SOME kind of interior presence that they need.

Ball
KCP
Ingram
Kuzma
Noel

NN can't space the floor like Brook can. I don't think LA should trade Randle yet, especially since they're getting good production from him.

:hhh: Isn’t Noel due for a contract next year?
He put up historic defensive stats his rookie season and kept a putrid defense consisting of d-league players and rookies to a respectable record 13th in the league. Do you really think that sort of player just becomes a bum?

If we're talking about defensive potential there could be a heck of a lot worse players. And his free throw percentage is pretty good too.

brook Lopez isn’t doing anything productive for the lakers, he plays like a drunk

Randle is gone. If they can get a 2nd round pick for him, it would be a win. You can tell he can't wait to leave either. He hates the shyt out of Luke Walton.
How much do you think teams will offer him in RFA?

Teams with cap space:

-Hawks
-Bulls
-Dallas
-Pacers
-Lakers

Bulls have Lauri and Portis/Mirotic(who's probably gonna be dealt) so I'll cross them off the list. Hawks COULD add him and groom John Collins until he's ready. Pacers have Sabonis.

My prediction is that he goes to Dallas one way or another through FA or trade. He's from there and he would fit in well with DSJ. I could see him getting a 3 year contract starting at 15-16 mill per year. But without much competition, he'll probably settle for a shorter contract, maybe a 2 year contract with an opt out after the first year for 18 mill a season.

He didn't fall off, they don't play him to keep his value in check, it's a dirty game going on in Dallas. His PER 36 numbers are right in line with what they were last year and the year before, but they give him 12.5mpg :smh:

The Lakers want to run, and they also want someone who can guard the rim.

Lol at Noel being some sort of defensive savant

Dude Gamble's all over the court and SOMETIMES makes up for it with his athleticism but he has no discipline

Cite whatever you want but ppl who watch know

I am saying that if everything goes right moving forward he will be an elite defensive player. Noel has quick hands, it should be expected that at times he's going to bite more than he chews. But again, he's been compared to some all time greats as early as his rookie season so I don't think it can be attributed to Noel being a gambler.

Only one other rookie since the NBA started counting blocks in 1973 averaged at least 2 blocks and 1.5 steals his rookie season—David Robinson in 1989-90. Even more impressive for Noel is that Robinson was 24 his rookie year, after playing four years at Navy and serving two years of military service. Noel turns 21 on Friday, meaning he will put up historic numbers in a season in which he can’t legally drink

Since 1973, only two players averaged at least 2.5 blocks and 2 steals per game over a full season—Robinson and Hakeem Olajuwon, who incredibly did it four times.

I think he was put into multiple bad situations but we will see what happens one way or another.
