He right. I'm disappointed in Bron Bron.

Philly had the #2 defense and a 52 win team. This is similar to what MJ had with the bulls. They won 55 games without MJ with a top defense.

He really chose LA for the lifestyle and business. This entire year is a wash. First month going to be exciting for the league and then reality is going to set in when they start of 7-13
Philly is similar to what MJ had, but MJ didn't have a Golden State to overcome. He also had a strong organization backing him and a squad of guys who stayed almost perfectly healthy for the whole run.

Philly's organization is still kind of a mess, Embiid, Fultz, and to a lesser degree Simmons have real injury questions, and he has to hope that everything on Phily goes perfect to even have a chance at beating Golden State. If Fultz doesn't pan out, or Embiid gets hurt, or they don't trade for another complementary star, or Simmons never develops a jumper, or the GM situation is never fixed, or the coach gets exposed in the playoffs....then the basketball reasons fall apart.

I was openly rooting for LeBron to go to Philly. But I understand why he didn't. Philly only had one reward, and a very narrow path to that reward. In the Lakers, LeBron knows that he has a capable organization that is a real free agent destination and so there are multiple paths to things working out, and he also knows that even if basketball reasons don't work out, 90% of the rest of his life isn't going to be basketball and he has a ton of W's he can pick up in LA on those other fronts.

But if he went to philly the narrative would be he hiding from the west and he jumped on the team with the most talent

If he stayed with the Cavs he gonna lose in the finals so he gave up

He goes to the lakers it’s for the life style

He goes to Houston he wants to be carried by the current MVP

If he retires he gave up

It’s like no matter what this man does it’s a issue :russ:
This.

After The Decision an enormous number of White people went into full irrational hate-LeBron mode 24/7, and some others just follow them along for no goddamn reason.

Wilt forced himself to a team with multiple Hall of Famers, Kareem forced a trade to the Lakers, Magic wanted to join forces with the MVP and said that he would have refused to enter the draft if Chicago got the first pick, Bird's Celtics got elevated via one of the most lopsided trades in NBA history, MJ quit the game entirely twice, Hakeem's Rockets built multiple three-headed monsters of 1990s NBA stars, Shaq's Lakers created a superteam with FOUR Hall of Fame guys who had all been 20+ ppg scorers the year before, Kobe threatened to quit if he didn't get huge talent added to the team...none of them got close to the level of irrational hatred for those moves that LeBron gets.

That Lebron is in LA 100% for movies and family life, not basketball. He’s basically unofficially retiring by joining the Lakers. Have fun with that :mjlol:
Shaq went to LA for the same reasons. He had a loaded team with Penny, Horace Grant, and a bunch of shooters and they had already made a Finals. And he left for a Lakers team whose best player was Nick van Exel. That didn't mean he was quitting.

Lebron is working on his game in the offseason just as hard as his previous years. You must have a low opinion of the guy if you think that Hollywood will distract him from being the best he can be every night. And not only that but if the team doesn't meet expectation you think Hollywood is gonna care about Lebron movies? Dumb post all around.
