Mexican is a nationality, not a race. There are people that are Mexican that look like regular white Americans. Louis CK is half mexican.
I listened to enough Jamie Foxx on Foxxhole to have a good idea that a movie he's directing with a white actor playing a Mexican will have almost ZERO nuance
If RDJ's scene or scenes could be filmed in one day like the article says, he's probably only in it for under 5 minutes.
And if in under 5 minutes there's enough in there to get a whole movie shelved...
Exactly. The problem isn't just that Jamie Foxx (and shyt, probably even Robert Downey Jr) seem to have missed the joke with Tropic Thunder, it's that the movie probably isn't fukking good.
The Flash is a menace to anyone west of the Mississippi that's under 18, and even read the words "non-binary" once, and DC will find a way to get that Flash movie out. The odds of people caring about a movie built around Jamie Foxx and Jeremy Piven at those point in time are low, even if it was an hour and a half of them making jokes about their rebuilt hairlines.

People still misunderstanding Tropic Thunder.
Downey was even playing a australian white man in tropic thunder. After tropic thunder came out joel edgerton a white blue eyed australian man played rameses who was a black african in that exodus movie. Tropic thunder as ridiculous as it is has a lot of truth in it because hollywood really is as ridiculous as the movie.
