This.

As far as the Phil Jackson/Pop comment...I've always maintained that Phil is the GOAT at maximizing the talents of Superstars. (If he coached the Thunder the past 5 years, KD and Russ would have at least 3 rings.) But getting the most out of a team from 1 through 15 or building a team..Riley, Larry Brown, and Pop are all ahead of him.

Pop takes average players and gets them to max out their one strength (i.e. Bruce Bowen & defense, Danny Green & shooting) and turns each of them into formidable chess pieces on a championship squad. Its no surprise a non-Superstar rather play for Pop.

His response doesn't really make much sense to me. Based on his response you'd think one guy had rings while the other didn't. They are both champions, so you'd win rings with both.

Well considering Kobe and Duncan have the same amount of rings, Kobe also lead the lakers in beating a Tim Duncan lead team in 01,02,04 and 08. Then you also factor in Kobe "filling up the seats"

You'd be a fool not to pick Kobe :yeshrug:

No stanning.
