Curry a better jump shooter. That's it.

No way a prime Kobe would get outshined by anb Andre Iggy caliber player in the finals.

Offensively, prime Kobe > Curry
Check Steph's points in the paint percentage. You may be surprised when you compare it to prime Kobe's.

OK breh. Like I don't know how many minutes he plays. :childplease:

Your argument seems to be that one cannot simply extrapolate a player scoring more points SIMPLY based on most shot attempts. That's true, it's a reasonable one

But it is ALSO reasonable to extrapolate more points when an offensive dynamo such as Curry is made to sit out 4th quarters because his team is so for ahead (and usually because of him)

:jbhmm:

I see your point. But again, I still can't put him over prime Kobe as a scorer. As a shooter, Curry is worlds apart.

I mean we can extend it out to '09 if you want. That 4 season span from '06-'09 is Kobe's prime without a doubt. I don't understand how he can be penalized for taking shots. That team wasn't winning the majority of their game without him doing exactly that.

That's the thing, you can't...well obviously you are...just give him 7 or 8 more shots on a consistent basis and he say oh yeah, he'll score more. That's all I'm saying. It is very difficult to put up 24-27 shots game after game.

You can take a guess, but I've yet to see any of these guys do it.
Who is penalizing Kobe for taking shots? I'm just saying you can't ignore the shot attempts. You've watched Curry right? You see where he shoots from. If he shot a lot more, he would score a lot more.

Nah, I've seen them both play, I don't care enough about this to go deep into analyzing stats.

I will say that he was asked who was the most "dangerous" offensively...so I can see picking Curry. A hot jumpshooter is probably the most dangerous offensive weapon there is...he'll have you :sadcam: in just a couple possessions.

That doesn't make him better offensively, imo, cuz I do believe Kobe was more capable to beat you in any way possible that's why I harped on Iggy having to carry the team offensively in the finals. I couldn't fathom that happening to a prime Kobe.

Steph averaged 26 ppg in the Finals. Iggy didn't carry the team offensively.

Kobe on a depleted Lakers squad playing alongside scrubs like Kwame and Smush was one of the best scorers the game has ever seen.

Put Curry in Allen Iverson's situation with the Sixers for example and dude would see so many double teams and traps, his numbers would take a hit. I mean, could he even get calls on the regular when his shot is not there? Can he attack the basket with authority?

Apart from the Jordan years and LeBron in 09, Steph is having the greatest individual season I've ever seen. I agree with Horry. :manny:

Averaging 30 PPG in only 34 minutes on 51/46/91 is absurd. We won't see anything like this for a long time.
:dwillhuh:

No knock on Lebron, but D Wade had a better year than Bron in 09. On top of that, in 11, both Wade and Bron had better individual seasons than MVP Rose. Bron's best individual season is 07 BY FAR.
