long story short, i had basically a year salary deposited in my checking account, no strings attached. at the time i was gainfully employed and living a great life. i blew through it and was unemployed and was in debt within 6 months and it completely changed the way i view these stories.
everyone always saying something along the lines of
"well, if that was ME, i would invest MY money, and you would never see ME broke."
its simply not true.

He bought all of this on himself. He's 7'0 tall and white, there would have always been a place for him on someones bench. He should be used as a prime example as well like they do with Leon Smith and others of why every player with talent is not meant to go straight to the NBA from high school. Maybe if he would have went to college he would have sowed all his wild oats and eventually grown up.
