This dude was a lottery pick?
Was he really that nice coming out of HS? Honestly, I completely forgot about the guy.
$1.2MM?![]()
It must have a couple acres in the back or something.
So, what's your story??

"nothing that would wet your girls panties, thats for sure--hardly an exciting tale.
i was working, got very sick, moved back home with my parents.
lived there for a full 12 months, no bills to speak of--rent free, food provided, health insurance covering all medical bills.
AFTER returning to work, i learned i was entitled to SSI, and they back paid the year i was sick.
so, when i received the money, i was gainfully employed, and got a years salary deposited in my checking account.
i was "smart" with it for about 2-3 months, then said f*ck it, quit my job, traveled, all that.
it wasnt 1 million dollars, but for a period in my early 20s, i had no financial concerns, and spent my money foolishly.
my only point is, it doesnt matter if its 500$, 5000$ 50,000$ or 5,000,000$.
when you come into a sum of money that you are not accustomed to having, its human nature to do foolish things with it.
it taught me fiscal responsibility (after the fact,) but every. single. athlete. that goes through this, i empathize with. it just drives me crazy when f*cking sportswriters JUDGE what theyre spending their money on...
some stuff like "and jamal crawford has not 1, not 2, but 3 mercedes"
like they have any idea wtf they would do if espn.com gave them a 5 million dollar bonus.
whats 50,000 on a car when you have 30 million dollars?
Athletes and entertainers need more mentors and less ppl with their hands out, imo.
i would go a step further.
i think instead of wasting kids time in high school with crap like biology, EVERYONE should have to take a personal finance course. hell, 4 years of it.
it should be just as much a part of a persons education as history, math, or science.
think about it. its a world built on money. everything we do is based on money.
whens the last time you used money vs.
had to recall a history fact
or a science fact
or a foreign language
our schools dont teach our kids the value of money, and as a result, americans spend 1.33 for every 1.00 they make.
This is true. Seattle is expensive as hell.Come on Rev, here in NY that house is pushing a cool $4 million if it's in Westchester or Rockland County.
depression and he is probably a drug addict. This is true. Seattle is expensive as hell.
I don't get how people can live in filth like that.
"well, if that was ME, i would invest MY money, and you would never see ME broke."![]()
how they go broke?" types, but, after reading more about player finances and, even, watchin' Broke (30 for 30), it's amazing how a lot of 'em thrive.
