my favorite album of the 2010s right after marcberg, nobody has put out music with nearly as much replay value as him and ka imo. i listen to plenty of new shyt but it usually lasts a couple weeks and i forget about it. marcberg and reloaded though, i keep the LPs in the house, CD in the car and spotify joints on my phone. shyt gets endless play and doesn't get old to me.

pimpire strikes back joint was really dope to me as well, marci beaucoup is good but definitely had some boring moments and lackluster beats.

and all the throwaway and bonus joints he released



can't wait for whatevers next plus metal clergy, i'd like to hear a knowledge project too.

I don't play the "classic" game really, I kinda despise how nikkas will call an album classic 4 hours after it leaks let alone drops. But to me Reloaded is probably the last album that I'd say fits that criteria for me.

I prefer it to Marcberg by a wide margin though I know some don't agree.

Classic album. I play this at least twice a month. He fell back this year but thats fine because the last tapes still get burn too. Waiting patiently on that collab with ALC

The one comparison that I can draw is that just like "It Was Written", "Reloaded" makes the previous album sound dated. I find it hard to really enjoy both at the same time. At first I was disappointed by "Reloaded", just like how many people were disappointed by "It Was Written". But now that I've embraced the feel of "Reloaded", and I have a hard time going back to the more traditional sounding "Marcberg". "Illmatic" sounded dated in a good way, because it was supposed to give you that "this is my life leading up to this point" type of feel. I'm not sure I will feel the same way about "Marcberg", because the album already sounded like it could have been released 15 years earlier.
I don't know maybe I'm just rambling, but I see the two sets of albums conflicting similarly. Same thing with Cube & Brand Nubian's first two albums. They conflict with each other to some degree.

I almost feel like the shyt was a fluke. I still fukk with Roc but it's almost like everything came together so perfect on that joint that it kinda ruined Marci Beaucoup for me...maybe it was just too many features.
