I don’t disagree, but the major issue is that Jay-Z promoted himself as an opponent of the NFL and a supporter of Kaepernick (who also is waiting to get back into the league, also sell-out like). The whole telling Travis not to do the Super Bowl seems underhanded in retrospect.

4:44 was about black ownership and being anti-establishment, which I knew was a rebranding effort, but most people literally bought into it. I have no issue with Jay-Z or his moves, but it’s time to drop the revolutionary charade.

That’s pretty much my issue. Hov my fav rapper my whole life and I’ve never been blind as to how he operates. But now it feels different cuz he’s co opted the pro black stance to hop on the woke trend.

aka

You trying to make amends for racists type behavior, well hire me/shake my hand in public and I'll give black folks the head nod to fuuck with you again.
Jay is a true capitalist. That's the first thing I had go get passed to even enjoy his music. Second is learning not to make idols out of men. He can make his mistakes and be a hypocrite.... That's all of us. I feel like and many do that Kaep protest is over....

Are any of y’all still protesting?

Seems like police brutality conversations died after Trump got in office.

It would actually be a perfect way for the NFL owners to avoid scandal. Let that all be Jay-z's fault right or wrong. all they would have to do is step in when ever it affects the bottomline on some he doesn't represent our views type of juelzing. If i was an owner i'd be all for it.

Jay Z's presence is kinda problematic for owners. Conservative media/Trump would use it closer to the election as a social wedge issue.

If you believe you can be a "revolutionary" in the strictest sense, and a capitalist at the same time, then I feel sorry for you.. cause that's never worked in America, and never will

You have guys like Byron Allen who sues cac cable companies and buys channels for $300M. Then you have Hov who’s a pro black 50 year old billionaire yet to this day most of his deals are partnerships as the black guy for cac corporations. Y’all love to deflect as if Hov announcing a non profit for prison reform with Kraft and basically just using that to do an NFL deal is something to support

The Byron Allen analogy is a bad comparison..... it's a warranted lawsuit from an ethical and BUSINESS standpoint.... he's not trying to "punish" those white corporations.... he just doesn't want any food taken off his plate like any good capitalist..... and give me a list of major black corporations that HOV can partner with that will result in a similar bag...?

I have no problem if folks calling out Jay z for this deal. BUT don't live in a glass house while throwing rocks. Don't talk about Jay Z and your ass watching NFL games, buying madden and buying jerseys.

from the home of coca-cola, i'm not referring to s

he made a whole spectacle about turning down performing at the Super Bowl and now is doing deals with them. Either he is full of shyt or doesnt really own roc nation. nikka even told Travis Scott to turn down the super bowl. Was that a shakedown so they do business with him?

:hhh:

NFL doesn’t pay artists to perform for Super Bowl
