Being the music and liner notes nerd I am, I didn't know that until today. On this board of all places . I knew my man Tony Thompson was on the drums. I could tell by his fills, and his "heavy" style.

he was a writer and musician
this man put out decades and decades and decades of great music and kept growin' and evolvin' with his music too. he was versatile as hell with his music
like many have already said, he just put out a new album last week!
the man was damn near 70 years old still workin' and releasin' music!

if you have no idea about his music or never bothered to check for him, here are some albums for you. it's a lot but it's worth it

just bout all of his albums from 1969 to 1977! yes, he's got one helluva catalog

1 of the best live albums i've ever heard is his "live at santa monica 72'" that shyt goes so hard from start to finish. that's a must check out

I couldn't have said it better myself. I grew up on Bowie and blondie and they continue to resonate and are timeless for me.
