i don't think some people really know or realize just how prolific of an artist bowie was
he was a writer and musician
this man put out decades and decades and decades of great music and kept growin' and evolvin' with his music too. he was versatile as hell with his music
like many have already said, he just put out a new album last week!
the man was damn near 70 years old still workin' and releasin' music!

if you have no idea about his music or never bothered to check for him, here are some albums for you. it's a lot but it's worth it :wow:

just bout all of his albums from 1969 to 1977! yes, he's got one helluva catalog :whew:

1 of the best live albums i've ever heard is his "live at santa monica 72'" that shyt goes so hard from start to finish. that's a must check out :ohlawd:

changesbowie <--- this is a compilation album and a good brief introduction because you get a feel of the many different styles of his
aladdin sane
low
heroes
david bowie aka space oddity (1969 album)
young americans
the man who sold the world
hunky dory
the rise and fall of ziggy stardust and the spiders from mars
station to station

his run slowed down a bit in the 80's but he still supplied us with these albums :wow:

let's dance (which many know the title song for puff's "been around the world" classic)
labyrinth soundtrack
scary monsters and super creeps

90's music
outside (i liked this album :yeshrug:)
earthlings

20000s

heathen a great comeback for him

and then he slowed down a bit and put out a few live/compilation albums like any artists once they've reached a certain caliber does

2010s

the next day - he came back fierce with this shyt

he released a couple more compilation albums up until this latest album, blackstar which i've yet to check out

the man's a legend and one of the greatest artists and musicians of all time. he will truly be missed. r.i.p ziggy stardust :mjcry:

Now the stupid fuccboi ass 90s babies gonna ruin this thread with their bullshyt...fukk all of you ungrateful kids. fukk you and your shytty music. Bowie was a goddamn legend in your filthy idols shadows. My folks had his records and they from Nigeria and St. Croix. What does that say? I grew up on his music like MJ and James Brown like alot of 80s and 90s kids. I refuse to even acknowledge your shallow disrespect, and it's really telling that you wold talk shyt on Bowie like that with all the shyt he did for black musicians, musicians, singers, producers, artists, all of that alike.

He made records for five fukking decades~! YOU a$$holeS!~~ Worked with everyone from Andy Warhol to GRace Jones to fukking Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails to Luther Vandross to Iggy. Po.p. You kids dont' know!

You just mad none of your idols will ever accomplish a 20th of what Bowie did in his lifetime. All you got is Drake. fukk Drake.

And you know what, while I'm at it...fukk Justin Bieber too! :pacspit:
I couldn't have said it better myself. I grew up on Bowie and blondie and they continue to resonate and are timeless for me. The level of narrow mindedness and mean spirited remarks here is breathtaking sometimes but every once in a while posts like yours renew my faith. I tip my cap to you sir.

With lemmy i admit the details are sketchy on his racism. Someone need to compile a proper best of Bowie mixtape..the type thecoli would appreciate. Over the weekend my boy played his black star track and little did we know he's be gone in a day or two. Rip.
First 20-25 mins is flames

the only thing I know about David Bowie is that this dude took his style and that David Bowie influenced a lot of the pretty boy shyt in anime.
