Can’t believe people are surprised by this. He made the playoffs EVERY year with Houston, MVP, multiple scoring titles and averaged over 30 for 3 straight seasons, got to the conference finals twice and if it wasn’t for the Warriors dynasty he’d have a ring by now.
In fact, he’s been the clear MVP over the last month, if he wins a ring this year the narrative with his career would do a complete 180 especially when you consider all his record breaking stats
. In a team with arguably two of the most skilled iso scorers ever he’s stood out. Dare I say his combination of scoring and playmaking is second only to Lebron. He’s the blueprint Doncic has followed.

*fart noise*He averaged 29/6/7 over an 8 year span, put the franchise back on the map, multiple deep playoff runs, multiple All-NBA's, MVP, historical numbers etc. Team was never really favorite to win anything, but he kept them elite for a long stretch. To put it simple he had a legendary run there, this was bound to happen.
