Ok, in theory he's not garbage, but on the Knicks I think he is. We're a small jump shooting team that lacks a presence in the paint. The answer to that is not a jump shooting center with basically no presence in the paint. Is this dudes jumper going to carry us in the playoffs? Is he going to draw guys into the middle so melo can get some open shots?

I dont see it.

The one thing that has plague the Knicks all these years is that Melo never had a number two scorer who could be consistently productive over the course of a season and the playoffs. Bargs was not brought here to be a defensive specialist or to be our main center. It just happened that why because Tyson got hurt. Bargs is doing what he was brought here to do. Score points. The fact that he has been playing some decent defensive is just a plus. He has work to do of course but IF he can play as well as he has been the past three games for a full season and in the playoffs we will be competitive. If our so call bench actually showed up last night we would have won the game despite Harden living at the line. The major reason we lost last night is because our defensive especially from the bench gave up our leads throughout the whole night, JR Smith shot like shyt and Ron Artest only scored two points. If the bench contributed some more points (maybe we should have played hardaway more) we could have pulled off a win.

Look... I didn't think he would be doing half of what he's doing right now. Think of it this way. If STAT had done exactly what Bargs is doing right now, last year, the Knicks may have been in the Eastern Conference Finals.

It also keeps them ignant Toronto fans from coming in threads trying to justify why Novak is a better player to have. Now they can be mad that Bargs has played better in the last 3 games than he's played in the last 3 years in Toronto.

I'll take what I can get :manny:

But the other thing next to rebounding is an interior scorer/presence that can relieve Melo. Bargs fit more with being a jum shooting team, but vs Pacers we got killed on the inside. If he could post a lick, he would help tremendously, but he can't. That's why I said from the beginning that he was a bad fit, especially when there were capable bigs available.
