shyt is ok.......he kinda looks like a fiend these days.....still has a dope voice but the rugged decep energy from 96-98 is nowhere to be heard.
It seems that Sean passing has been motivation for him.![]()
not strange at all. Rock left Duck Down over a decade ago if im not mistaken. he's a part of BCC but not Duck Down Records.Strange that is not on duck down records
its wild how for some cats like Sean P or MF Doom it took completely losing all fukks to get on..they had to not care about anything anymore to make their names blow.Yeah, some folks will give you hell for saying it, whether it be on some opinion or revisionist shyt
But Rock was one of BCC's breakout lyricists behind Buckshot and Starang. Easily the most recognizable cause of his voice.
It's real telling that Rock was the one that was being courted by major labels as a solo artist and Price couldn't get signed... anywhere.
Price got got depressed and turned into a whole nother kind of animal.
P is on my list for most improved MC in the shortest amount of time. shyt is like night and day.
video, directed by The Last American B-Boy, for GW BaG, produced by Ford Tuff and Pascal Zumaque, off big Rock of Heltah Skeltah’s first ever solo studio album “Rockness A.P. (After Price)” dropping September 22nd, 09/22/17, executive produced by Phil Anastasia (Blood Before Pride) featuring appearances from Buckshot, Tek & Steele (Smif-n-Wessun), Raekwon, Method Man, Inspectah Deck, Kuniva (D12), Ras Kass, Young Noble, Ron Browz and M.O.P.

My duuuuuuude!
Rock is definitely my favorite "unknown known" rapper of all time. Hands down. He's actually in my PERSONAL top ten, both him and Ruck (R.I.P.). I'mma diehard Heltah Skeltah/ Magnum Force fan.
This is first-day copped, don't even need to hear it first.
And this song is, of course, fire.
Absolutely. He was sorely missing from that Chosen Few album. When he was the first voice you heard on the first song on The Last Stand on that 9th Wonder beat?Rock still got that golden voice...always looked at him as the Method Man of BCC....

Same here. I got to hear Onion Head a day or two after it was recorded and I has no idea at first that it was Ruck.
D.I.R.T. was an underrated album too. Sean P's newer style mixed with Rock's style worked well.
And Nocturnal was my favorite of the original BCC albums.
