I said that I though Timmy would eat on offense.
But CP3 is a fukking bulldog on defense. Timmy wasn't. IT was 15 pounds heavier than Hardaway and WAY stronger than him and he was still fukking food on defense, to the point that the moment he lost half a step on O he was basically unplayable cause he was so bad at D.
Hardaway would play in this era, and he would be great on offense, I'm just saying that his shortcomings on defense would be a problem.
You mean if they were different players completely.
Why would players who were on competitive teams that kept falling short, who were borderline all-stars who weren't quite making it, who knew they NEEDED to improve but didn't, suddenly decide to start improving just because they were in that era and not this one?
Rod and Nick are the perfect examples of the EXACT players who had all the motivation in the world to improve. They were right at the cusp of doing something, both on the individual level and the team level. And they didn't do it. So I think it's fair to say that what we saw is what they are.
Gloss over or ignore the advances in shooting across the board with this current generation compared to the past generations

I guess the guys today are all naturals our the womb.
