Part of the reason Rogan is successful is that yes, being white helps, but he was able to leverage his connections with people from multiple subcultures he's interested in.
MMA people know his face and love him while he's close to the UFC machine. Cause he put in the work since early on. Plus he used to be a kickboxer i think.

Then there's the conspiracy crowd. He was giving these people a platform since way back and it paid dividends. From UFOs to flat earthers to jfk conspiracy theories, etc.
Then he's genuinely into lots of hobbies that are their own niches (pool, hunting, archery).
He's not the smartest guy but he's good at making his guests feel comfortable.
Didn't he start his podcast in like 2008? For a while no one was checking for his podcast and it wasn't an overnight success. I personally don't fukk with him that much (especially since the racist shyt he said) but he definitely put in work for years.
