Diddy never actually bid on the Panthers. That group of his dropped out once the price hit 2.5 Billion and he would NOT have been majority owner,That's why you have ownership groups.
Diddy's group raised enough to bid for the Panthers, but the team was sold for less than his offer. Coincedence?
The NFL is the ONLY major North American sports federation with ZERO Black ownership:
MLB-James Brown & Magic Johnson are owners,
NBA-Michael Jordan, Usher, etc. are owners,
NHL-Sheila Johnson-Newman
WNBA-Sheila Johnson-Newman again
In the NFL, we can play, we can coach, but we cannot own.
That’s typically standard with settlements, though.Kaep should have never signed that NDA

This was their endgame the entire time. This is what the set up was about. Colin knew that and took precautions that enabled him to go out on his own terms. Fuk them. At least he went out standing for something instead of groveling on his knees.

What happened to Diddy's bid to buy the Carolina Panthers?
Magic Johnson is just a figure head for the Dodgers. His ownership stake of the Dodgers is 2.3%. He makes no decisions.
Yahoo is now part of Verizon Media
Michael Jordan - only paid $100 million out of pocket for the Hornets. He got it so cheap because he took over the $150 million debt from Bob Johnson because they were losing so much money. Turns out to be one of the greatest deals ever because sports franchise prices have exploded since the Clippers sale.
NBA board approves sale of Bobcats to Jordan
Sheila Johnson-Newman is not the majority owner of the Caps/Mystics/Wizards. Everybody knows thats Ted Leonsis
If you just talking about any ownership in the NFL, Venus and Serena "owns' the Miami Dolphins. I'm talking about enough money to make the decisions.
The next NFL team that comes up for bid is going for $4 BILLION dollars probably because these really rich white guys really want a team now. The Clippers and Panthers each wrote a PERSONAL check for over $2 Billion dollars. No groups, no loans, etc.
I just have one question - Do you think that he really wanted to play again or in his heart of hearts he knew that his NFL career has been over so this was more symbolic to him?, I just think that with any job if you go against "the culture of the job" and are wrongfully terminated, a person knows that they will never work for that employer again even though they settle monetarily with the company. Idk- I'm not a sports watcher so I don't know the full circumstances about the ins and out of football, I'm only looking at it from a legal point of view. Curiosity, that's all.
