Fox owning Tubi was never a secret.

There’s plenty of positive black content on Tubi, along with educational content. If you only want to watch ratchet movies, then they have that for you as well. You can also find those types of movies on Peacock, Prime, and other platforms.

Tubi gives black creators the most dollars for their content and offer a low barrier of entry (for better or worse). No other platform is paying black folks like that for their content. Hell they don’t even let black people put their content up for free.

Roland is upset that his independent platform isn’t receiving the same amount of attention and investment, and he has a valid point in all honesty. However, discouraging black folks from supporting black creators on Tubi is not the solution.

If he was smart, he would try and get a deal to get his daily show on Tubi.

Both things can be true at the same time.

Yeah he went in. I’m glad he did it too because it needed to be said. Tubi gives these unknown movie makers a platform though so I don’t know what would or could happen to get them out of here, plus it’s a free platform that relies of ads. Man we got to get a positive platform that black folks will support and throw money behind. I mean the black news channel was here and it was not a bad start, but it did not get much support.
