The SEC CBS contract is bigger than ESPN's: FACT

ESPN has the same contract with the Longhorns: FACT

ESPN's contract with SEC has only been for ONE YEAR. Yet they've been pimping SEC for almost a decade: FACT

ESPN/ABC contractually cannot air SEC games Saturday night: FACT

CBS is the only network who can air SEC games on Saturday night: FACT

Why in the hell would ESPN/ABC pimp SEC teams when their competitor (CBS) is the only network to allowed to televise SEC games on the biggest night of college football in the week?:sas1:

Wouldn't it be better for ESPN/ABC to pimp the teams that they can show on their networks for Saturday night games when they can get the most ratings?:sas2:

What channel showed LSU-Ole Miss this past Saturday?

I can't wait to see the spin ESPN put on Mizzou's horrid season once UGA lose to Auburn and Mizzou makes the title game....

This is nothing new. When USC was taking people to the woodshed in the early to mid 2000's you didnt hear any of this $EC $EC $EC. USC even came down to the south and whipped a couple of them ( the rednecks probably didn't like that) All of sudden some teams get their name off beating some slow big ten teams and they are the greatest, while USC gets basically the death penalty for the Reggie Bush thing that the NCAA still hasnt proven USC had anything to do with.

:mjlol:This dumb ass Cowherd said Georgia should be mad because they're 11 and TCU, Mich St, K State and ND.

"They didn't play Jacksonville St., Eastern Michigan & Wyoming like Mich St....they had to play Tenn, Vanderbilt, Arkansas and Missouri" :heh: Dumbest shyt I've heard all week...let's ignore their win vs Nebraska and stomping that bullshyt Indiana team that beat Missouri. Vanderbilt lost to fukking Temple but that's supposed to be a quality opponent.

According to Cowherd Oregon's loss is worse than Ole Miss because LSU is a traditional power, their stadium is called "Death Valley" and Arizona is a basketball school :dead: nikka you couldn't make up these excuses if you tried.

Lmao that funny, if colin would've said oregon's loss was worse because they were at home, while ole miss was on the road at night then it could make more sense

Saturday Night? Only CBS can do SEC Saturday night games.

sounds like you heard this mess somewhere else and thought you'd post it here.

The truth is, ESPN, ESPN 2, and SEC Network all air SEC games in primetime.

ESPN had a staple for years of airing a 6:45/7:45 start SEC game every week.

And ESPN pimps the Longhorn Network too, dont get it twisted. They go easy on Texas when they're bad, and did you not see the Colt McCoy love fest on MNF this week? Would they have done the same if he went to Kansas or something?

And you have no proof CBS contract is bigger. the SEC Network is a 24/7 network, you're not gonna convince me(w/o proof) a 1-game a week contract is bigger than an entire network.

"I just wanna say this to the conspiracy theorists out there. I work on ABC and ESPN. On Saturday night football with Chris Fowler and I, we are not allowed to have an SEC team on our games. It's all CBS when it comes to network television. You don't think that Chris and I want USC and UCLA and Oregon and Ohio State and Michigan and Penn State and Oklahoma and Texas and Miami and Florida State to matter? Are you crazy? You don't think we want great games on ABC Saturday night? The SEC has all these teams ranked in the top five. Count up how many times they're on ABC Saturday Night Football. So if I had an agenda, if I had anything to do with trying to raise a profile of a team or a conference; it would be the Big Ten, it would be the Pac-12, it would be the Big 12, it would be the ACC. It would be everybody except the SEC if I were driving an agenda for the games that I'm affiliated with on Saturday night."

"The people are clueless when it comes to this, but it's low-hanging fruit, it's a sheep mentality. Same type of mentality that think Peyton and LeBron are the best of all time. Fall in line with the local radio guy that's tooting his horn saying ESPN are a bunch of SEC guys. It's the easy thing to buy into and it could not be further from the truth."
