they gonna continue to disrespect the true art & artist for agenda reasons and years down the line wonder what happened to all the great art :beli:

well you actively worked to not show it its proper respect...so of course future musicians weren't inspired by it and in turn made great music:martin:

there is no one on Earth that should believe there are 5 albums better than Thriller

Nice to see TPAB in the top 20...its probably the only hip hop album that has a flawless musical composition.
yah, kdot deserves it, objectively. Been known this album is a true masterpiece. I'm atually surprised it's only 19.

Good top 20 tbh

Every list known to man is a trash list except to the one who created it. If the Coli ever got together and decided to make a top 100 list, everyone outside of this site would consider it trash. The point of these lists is to do what this thread is doing: arguing over past albums and their arbitrary placements. It works every time.

Remember all those top 50 rappers of all-time lists everyone had? All it did was wanna make people argue or make their own list. When someone dropped a top 300 porn star list, you had people saying "wait you left HER off?" It's fun as fog because in the end, it makes people discuss artistic musical merits and you might even revisit some of those albums.

A top 500 list of just black music would be difficult as fukk to pull off, let alone a list that spans over 60 years of every genre.
Oh trust me fam I know
still won't stop me from shytting on the idea of doing this, at this point ranking is very flawed and needs to be changed IMO. Im at that point in my life where i think its stupid, but i know these attention starving sites do this for clicks and rattling people.

@bold: that was people giving their own top 50 not saying what was the top 50. So its not totally the same as i didnt see many people throw outrage and be mad that bad.

2nd Bold: it would be stupid to do it in the firstplace, but i would prefer tiers of ranking if we had to

Hell nah 36 chambers .

No:unimpressed:

" To do so, we received and tabulated Top 50 Albums lists from more than 300 artists, producers, critics, and music-industry figures (from radio programmers to label heads, like Atlantic Records CEO Craig Kallman). The electorate includes Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, and Billie Eilish; rising artists like H.E.R., Tierra Whack, and Lindsey Jordan of Snail Mail; as well as veteran musicians, such as Adam Clayton and the Edge of U2, Raekwon of the Wu-Tang Clan, Gene Simmons, and Stevie Nicks."

just chcked the list and damn, actually a lot of rappers that helped to compil this list

Not one Pac album? I’m surprised they didn’t force Eminem into this list.

Some those albums like Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon which was acoustically way ahead of it's time should be ranked much higher.

MJ's Off the Wall and D'Angelo's Brown Sugar album are noticeably entirely to low as well.

Then they got some other stuff like Beyonce's Lemonade album ranked entirely to high.

This is simply other people's opinion though, so I'll let it live.

These are crazy classics, definitely listen to them again the next days:banderas:
