All of these internet lists are full of fukkery for clicks so I don’t even entertain them. But this one is on some other shyt foreal..just sickening :scust:

Missy has as many albums on the list as Nas. Even Missy gotta be reading that list like :scust:

The Chronic at #40? :mjlol:

Wayne and Ye with more albums on the list than any of the legends? :heh:

I’ve never really seen history attempt to be rewritten in real time till now. RS would never attempt this type of disrespect with any other genre.

They need to stay out of hip hop honest after this list.... Stick to rock music or some other shyt because this list is beyond laughable to anyone who takes hip hop seriously (Not just as a fad). TRASHHHHHHHHHH.

I was wondering if Gang Starr had a spot on this list, but then I realized I wouldn't want them on this shytty-ass list. :mjlol:

Surprised Eminem didn't get in the top ten, but I guess since it's universally acceptable to hate him now and he dissed Rolling Stone, they're returning the favor.
it's pretty amazing how they used to ride him hard now they try to sneak diss him any chance they get. they wave riders over there lol. 10 years ago they would have had at least 3 Em albums on this list to stay in his good graces lol.

It's all politics, clickbait, and people who aren't worthy of making a list like this (but Rolling Stone the brand doesn't care cuz it's getting them engagement).

Why attack Ye and Wayne? There are artists that flat out shouldn’t be on a top hip hop anything.

The problem with these lists is the age and regional demographic. The 40 and up crowd. Heck maybe 35 and up are gonna be stuck on their 80s, 90s rap. The younger generation is gonna put their 2000 and up artists. Then you got the regional demographic. New york heads aren't gonna put a Ghetto D, Three Six, Ugk type album in their top 10. Yet someone from the south who truly understands it might have southern rappers in their top 20. Vice Versa with the South. They may not have a Nas or Mobb in their top 10

Whole list is just a bunch of pandering.

"Let's throw in the classics for the older crowd so we look somewhat credible,, a bunch of new albums for the new generation, throw in random female rap albums for the female rap fans, lil nas x for the gays..."

I'm surprised they didn't throw BIg Freedia in there, they must have forgot.

The revisionist history of Missy Elliot in these new era hip hop discussions... :hhh: No Stress The Extinction Agenda or Innercity Griots anywhere on the list.

Every age range and every region is saying on social media this list is trash. Look it up

Its not even about that, read their opening paragraph, they admit they dont like classic era hip hop and like the new stuff. Which is weird because even young fans when they check out the classic era stuff admit its amazing. They're just trying to force shyt. Of course theres a lot o stuff from the 2010s that classic but thats not even the stuff they're trying to rank high

There are no gatekeepers in Hip Hop community anymore to secure the art from bunch of bad faith b*stards. It ended completely when even rappers from the 80s were silent about bambaata bullshyt, especially Krs who was considered the GOAT, was even defending this pedophile.

Nobody respects Hip Hop anymore, that's why you got these geeky nerd writers openly mocking the music. It's a randomly generated list with no explanation, no criteria, nothing. You could find any writer who's capable of writing long coherent articles and tell them to make a top 200 list. And by using google search they would probably come up with a better list than Rolling Stones mocking the Hip Hop once again.

No other genre is disrespected like that. make a top 200 rock list and rank their worst of the worst like Limp Bizkit at the top 40 and see what happens :mjlol:

THIRTY SIX CHAMBERS 8
MISSY'S THIRD BEST ALBUM, 7

i'm OUT

So Addictive is arguably Missy's best album. Still wouldn't put in my Top 10.

There's a lot on the list I don't agree with, but off top:

This being a supposed all time list, anything released after 2010 would not be on it. Not because I think everything post 2010 is bad. It just needs to age some more.

It Was Written would be Top 50 (at least)

Life After Death >>>>> Ready To Die

Blueprint wouldn't be Top 3

Stankonia is way too high. I would have it somewhere in the 90's of the list.

Aquemini would be Top 25.

Mystic Stylez is like the go to album for hypebeasts and faux Three Six fans, bandwagoners. Not saying it isn't good, but that album is on here because you have artists that have pointed to that album as an influence or inspiration. I would've put Chapter 2: World Domination on there in its spot. That's where mainstream got its introduction to Crunk, that dark atmospheric sound that's still influential on that album and songs like "Motivated" had a sound that sounds like now.

TM101 would be higher in the list than Carter 2. Bigger album and far more impactful.

Basically, Rollingstone lazily ranked the Top 200 streaming Hip Hop albums. At least that's what it looks like.
