And I was born and raised there...getting out of there was a culture shock in and of itself. When I moved to NYC, i couldn't go back. Its just a very regressive place which is why I wasn't surprused it fell victim to Trumpism...especially with the loss on industry in those surrounding areas of Pittsburgh.

The end goal is fascism. When you weaponize wokeness, you instead promote ignorance. And with ignorance, you have power. The gop is currently going after the easy targets, but what needs to be understood is that the gop does not care about its voting base. The war on wokenes is just another distraction.

Wokeness goes beyond black folks. It's anything that challenges right wing conservatism and their ideology. They are not specifically worried about black folks. The last two years made it clear to everyone we don't have political representation, still don't own much, and don't create as many businesses as hispanics and whites.

The post looks edited so I don't remember what was initially said. I believe I was referring the the notion that people are scared of black folks and the last two years were perfect examples. A lot of stuff got passed with no black respresentation or input. Yes wokeness did go full throttle after Floyd/Taylor/Aubrey etc. Prior to them the same people called woke were called SJWs social justice warriors. The purpose of wokeness is to cancel people verbally.

Real Republicans were Black people, northern White liberals and White industrialists/business people. Black people and those liberals left decades ago, but many of those business people stayed mostly because of tax breaks. Even those business people are now leaving the Republican Party and MAGATs behind.
