I kind of defended her on here one time but, generally speaking, did she really do that much for the UFC and women's fighting? She sure as hell didn't do anything for women's sports in general. Was the UFC in a bad place that she lifted them out of during her "reign"? Does anybody currently give a shyt about women's MMA? Rousey did a lot for herself. She didn't transform sports. She was a headline. A back girl from Compton beasting women's tennis for two decades is transforming sports. Not to mention she did it while a black man was the face of golf. Serena was also the only one keeping American tennis relevant despite the fact that they were trying to prop up nikkas like Andy Roddikk. I'd contend Forest Griffin did more for the UFC than Rousey did.
