I doubt more than 6 ppl here think they walk away with 5mil in hand after they sign...after everything taxes and all they prob make 250k a year and they prob got some up front bread...the rest is spread out..I mean thats what a deal is...Its not a 10mill payment its a 10 mill deal...deals come with terms

Rogan was getting 900-1.1mill views in 48hrs on youtube and the JBP was getting maybe at most 400k after 48hrs maybe on a great episode so if you do the math...30-40mil is the correct number if you just look at the numbers...Time period Im talking about was springsummer 2020 when rogan was still on youtube and rory/mal still on JBP.

Don't forget about Joe's conditions on top of a Rogan bag.
He wanted the same amount that rogan got for just the audio because he planned on doubling up with another deal with the video.
He also refused to allow spotify to run ads on his podcast.
He essentially wanted spotify to pay him 9 figures for a podcast that wasn't exclusive to their platform and couldn't make any money off it because it was ad free.
You don't have to be a business expert to understand why that would be such a bad deal for spotify, yet joe refused to budge, then went public with the negotiations.
Joe doesn't deserve the success he's received.
