Again..im not gonna assume like i know his intentions like the haters/stans are doing in here but this point is valid.

Hov catches maaaad flack for “allegedly” not supprtingthe black community, however...he never reacted in a hurt way to these allegations because he knows (and its been later revealed) that he does alot for the community in private, so that it doesnt draw attention to him.

Most kinda video broadcasting charitable acts is corny. On the flipside though, its a welcome change from what we’re use to seeing in rap videos. Whatever drake’s intentions were with this video is completely speculative and cant be proven; whether it was genuine (like stans are trying so hard to prove) or opportunistic (like the haters are trying to prove). All you have to go off his the man and his moves.

Just from talking to my friend who did some BTS work on the video, he said it seemed real genuine and wasnt “just for cameras”. He was actually vibin with the people a lil.

Hov can promote liquor, inspire certain trends etc.. but he can't inspire people to give back? Do some of you not realize how ass backwards that is/was? What real benefit is it for people on that level, like Jay Z, Bey, K.dot, Cole etc to give in secret instead of making some of that shyt public and inspiring a whole bunch of other people to follow them and do the same.

And why are people acting like this if the first and only time Drake has given back and he put it on video? This video was meant for inspiration, not as a "look at me"?

Why would Drake think haters would stop being haters?

I really think that sometimes Drake is very naive when it comes to certain things. For example, when the whole ghostwriting shyt came out, he never really tackled the issues head on and instead gave a vague answer in his Fadar interview and just released more music.

He thought that by doing that folks wouldn’t question his pen no more but it just increased which forced him to begrudgly talk about it with Semtex last year.

This one is no exception..

Its crazy cuz we got Rosenberg & Hot 97 going in on Drake for giving to charity in a music video meanwhile every damn day we see these new age rappers doing the most in their videos drugged up, flashing guns or in the news for rape or beating on a woman.

See what I'm sayin? And all b/c Rosenberg says Drake don't talk to them like Kendrick does. That Drake don't check in with them. He dont respond to his DMS. Hot 97 aint about the culture at all.
Facts.

They don't even have the courage to tell'em 69 fakkits that they're a cancer to the culture and should be banished. But they wanna talk all high and mighty to someone that gives a few average black people some relief from this cruel world.

The media is shyt.
