black face wasn’t just about white people wearing black paint, it was about them mocking and imitating a black caricature and pushing stereotypes against black people. that’s what made it so wrong, not the paint itself.

i’m always open and willing to engage in discussion, trade views and ideas and i don’t have a problem with posters calling me out. i’ve had a few posters do it in private, as well and we’ve had respectful discussion. i appreciate that. but i do take issue with posters off the rip insulting my appearance and using my wrongs to take shots at my mentally challenged brother who has nothing to do with my views and interactions with black people. that’s when i get on the defensive and throw insults back.

i’ll admit, even though ideology wise and conservation wise with other people in terms of white supremacy, racism etc, especially with other white people and calling them out, that i do have cognitive dissonance in terms of not reflecting on how i contribute myself. and need to be a better listener.

You're in a lose lose situation tbh. Women will think you're on this site because you want attention from black men and will get in their feelings about it. You also are anti feminist so that'll ruffle a few of their feathers as well. I understand their frustration so its shytty, but I think a few are cool enough not to judge you off top. Im curious, why are you interested in this site? Besides hip hop and rap. Are you into other aspects of the culture? Do you find black people more fun to be around/ better energy? You should make a thread explaining why you are here so people can't jump to conclusions.

It's good that you understand that. I have similiar cognitive dissonance regarding the treatment of women and can brash at times but I'm learning as well and trying to understand y'all's perspective.

On this forum they always bring it up though. Like, I was posting in another thread, and someone asked me if I was a single mom--it didn't have much to do with the posts I was making, but they still brought it up. And not saying everyone has this belief, but I notice that some of them think that every single mom is in the same boat of being thirsty, a thot, a bad mom, got seeded up by a deadbeat dad, can't keep a man, make bad choices, etc. So when some of them throw around "your a single mom" it's definitely an insult.

Just because someone's a single mom, doesn't mean she is doing it on her own, the dad can still be involved in taking care of the child, and the baby could have been conceived in a long term relationship--both scenarios are the case with me, and from what Nicole was saying in this thread she was in a long term relationship.

Obviously, no one aspires to be a single mom, but not every single mom is hopping from dikk to dikk, broke and thirsty.

Because too many posters here believe the " Black women only date broke thugs. " and " Only non-Black women date the " good " Black men. " narratives.

So to them a single mom can only be a woman who has dated a thug, got used and dumped. Not a woman who was married and divorced or a widow.​
