I would saying being a parent is very commendable as long as the mother and/or father set high expectations for themselves as parents and their children and provide them with the RIGHT guidance, it is motivational and aspirational. As an example.. look at @BoujeeXO .. her parents are on it, she's smart and resourceful af.

Taking care of your kid is commendable, even if you have to do it by yourself
On this forum they always bring it up though. Like, I was posting in another thread, and someone asked me if I was a single mom--it didn't have much to do with the posts I was making, but they still brought it up. And not saying everyone has this belief, but I notice that some of them think that every single mom is in the same boat of being thirsty, a thot, a bad mom, got seeded up by a deadbeat dad, can't keep a man, make bad choices, etc. So when some of them throw around "your a single mom" it's definitely an insult.
Just because someone's a single mom, doesn't mean she is doing it on her own, the dad can still be involved in taking care of the child, and the baby could have been conceived in a long term relationship--both scenarios are the case with me, and from what Nicole was saying in this thread she was in a long term relationship.
Obviously, no one aspires to be a single mom, but not every single mom is hopping from dikk to dikk, broke and thirsty.
