Damn everyone said he was biting budden with that Brady bunch line, but check it

On one of the early songs, I think track 3 or 4 he rhymed “ball carrying with Shawn Marion and barbarian”

In chopping block, a song from bar exam 4, Joel Ortiz has the line

“Now as far as the bar varying I’m barbarian
He-man hanna-barbers action figure
Arms stiffer than Shawn Marion when he ball carrying”

Then he drops the Brady bunch line by budden 2 songs later. I’m not done bumping yet but I bet he flips a crooked I line somewhere in this album too. He’s just paying homage and showing love by flipping and expanding on bars that his crew came up with and already murdered.

How dare y’all call this anything but dope.

Edit. Flips the beginning bars from Eminem’s cleaning out my closet on the song flirt too.

Got it on preorder. Listened to a few tracks then stopped when I started hearing the Funkflex verses.... now if only Phonte and Roc will release a physical.

Yo I know I've harped on this before, but I really think the thing that takes these albums from hitting the next level is the fact that they pigeon-hole themselves into using one sample source. That may be an unpopular opinion. Adrian Younge and Antman Wonder are dope, but sometimes I wonder what these album would sound like if Preem could just sample whoever he wanted. It's well documented he was annoyed about having to only sample one person on the first PRhyme.

:yeshrug:

This isn't bad at all. But out of all the dope albums to drop so far this year, this is my least favorite so far. And I love Royce and Preem.

I'm on MY Calling now. It's pretty dope. Strange to hear Preem using those distortion.static sounding snare drums. One of my favorite songs on here so far though.

I think it would end up sounding like a bunch of average middle of the road Premo beats. Most people complain that he has fallen into a cycle and basically has a template going. I think this has made him be a bit more creative and pull some new and old tricks out of the bag
