And? Classics mean albums and body of work not just rappity rap friend

Brand Nubian still has better music :laff:
Oh okay...so even tho the artform is Rap let's just totally ignore actual rapping ability, heard you.

Idk why you're crediting Jamar for Brand Nubian as a whole when clearly he was the corniest, most pointless member...but you can start. Name the Brand Nubian classics, then I'll name Royce's, we can leave Eminem out of it. Mixtapes included. You have the advantage since they're "old school", people always put old school shyt on a pedestal, even average shyt

art form is music... good music generally wins

being highly specialized at just rapping but not making actual songs is a circus trick

I'm sure you know this by now as a listener.. don't play dumb.

Jamar is credited because he held the group together when the most popular member left and also produced their music giving them arguably what some call their best album without the star member.

I'm a big Royce fan and I have purchases of his actual mixtapes. He was mostly inconsistent up until the later part of his career.

Nothing is on a pedestal... :duck:

Do you hear his shyt bumpin in the hood? Of course not, lol. My point is who cares? Are "nikkas" bumpin Lupe in the hood? Royce? Monch? Black Thought? Doom? Los? Mos? What does that have to do with greatness? Jamar has a wigga mentality, probably cause he grew up in the burbs with white folk. People like him view the hood like this mythical magical place and get wet over street shyt, it's disgusting. Dudes in front of the bodega chillin dont have to listen to your music for you to be a phenomenal mc, even suggesting that is cornball shyt.

And another thing wiggas and suburb people like Jamar think is that everybody in the ghetto is a G or grimy or whatever.. some people in the hood actually like rappity rap and lyricism...and reading and going to work, etc...

he's not wrong but Royce sounds too bothered and emotional in the video.

shyt on the nikka in a punchline and KIM :what:

this, Lord Jamar, and now bringing Nicc Cannon into the convo

is just :deadhorse::snoop:

I believe this is kind of Vlad's way of juxtaposing himself as "certified" in 'the streets' in comparison, since most of his interviews are about :pacspit: and mainly feature dope dealers, gangbangers, etc. And is always bragging about his OG homies. he's a white boy from California so its not hard to fathom :beli:
