This doesn’t come close to Book Of Ryan imo, it’s dope Royce wants to make his own beats, and a handful of them here are nice, but like some of you have already said a lot of them are also really bland/stale, I feel slightly finessed that he led with Black Savage, Upside Sown and Overcomer as these are arguably the 3 best beats on here lol, He’ll only improve overtime tho

As far as Griselda, I think Benny is Dope af, but the other 2 are overrated imo:yeshrug:

Yea Book Of Ryan is better than this album, some good tracks on here but this is lacking replay value.

I think it’s the skits. Take them away, the track with graph and Oswald Benjamin cause they brought nothing to the table, the first two tracks and make rhinestone doo rag the intro. Then you’ll have a 12 track album that’s GREAT. I love the production and Royce contents. Happy to see him grow as an artist and lyricist

I’m not the biggest fan of skits but the album just sounds bland to me. I enjoyed songs like Hero, Rhinestone Doo Rag, Upside Down & Overcomer. I’m gonna try and see what other songs I can pull out of this that I enjoyed.

I agree they bring nothing to the table unless they’re hilarious

I agree. Book of Ryan was brilliant to me andh best, most cohesive work in his catalog.

Allegory has some bangers but feels lackluster. Firstly, he's gotten super woke in the past year and that's cool, but remember the days when all his rhymes were about his dikk, guns and fukking his side chicks? It's a big turn, and some Eminem fans who used to listen to him have probably stopped.

As far as the beats go they are hit and miss. Credit to him to expanding his skillset, but remember when Eminem used to make beats? This is better than that but there are choices he made production wise that no good producer would do. Changing the beat at awkward moments, leaving some beats sounding hollow, intros or bridges on songs that are too long. I don't this he's advanced enough as a producer to make an entire album.

My final complaint is the rapping. Royce is one of the best out right now, but this album I felt he sacrificed his flow alot to insert knowledge into his bars. A few of his guests ended up upstaging him as well, which rarely happens on any track he's on.

Overall I think the album is average. Maybe it'll grow on me, but Book of Ryan is way ahead of this album.

Banks voice and boring demeanor became repetitive imo. Benny hot next. Watch him grow
No doubt I can why anyone would feel like that about his voice. He has energy and style all throughout his bars but I guess you gotta get passed his tone. And yeah Benny mos def has next we agree on that:salute:
