Why is it a slur?

How do people get offended by someone else fandom?

You dont get anything by being a better fan than the next person. Sports is just entertainment not something that defines us

Except a person's fanhood can say a lot about their character. Consider someone who's been a diehard royals or Knicks fan for twenty years, and never strayed from their squad, vs somebody whose fickle and claims a new team every season.

Look at the Warriors season thread. Our shyt is small as fukk. It's not that many Warriors fans on the board. If it was, the haters never would've got me on the wpoy nomination list.

Let it go man....keep up posts these and you'll find yourself back on it.

Yep, a whole lotta people suddenly wearing Warriors gear around the bay in the last year or so.

Same thing with Seattle, you go up there and people walking around in Seahawks gear everywhere.

You know damn well the majority of those people weren't rockin that shyt a few years ago.

Fickle fate:ld:

Bandwagon is specifically for those people that only hop on the winning team. The Warriors fans that were once Cavs fans and Miami fans before that, lakers fans before that. It's a slur because it questions your loyalty. If your team is shytty and you're on some "eff them" that's cool, but if your team is shytty and you've hopped on a winning team, you're a bandwagoner. It's a slur because these people rocking gear getting hyped for games and can't name a player on the squad other than the 2 stars; they definitely can't name a player from last year's squad.

Sac/GSW is a thin line because they're close enough to which you can be a fan of either however, there should also be enough there to which they can support both.

I dont think you can call people that actually live in the region bandwagoners unless they were rocking other teams jerseys prior. Championship teams create new generations of fans.
