With an 82 game season and guaranteed deals, there aren’t many viable ways to deter tanking in a top heavy sport like basketball. I always suggest flipping the lottery around where the best records of non playoff teams get the best odds. At the very least it should encourages teams to try winning games.

11 different teams have won the title since 1980 provided the warriors repeat. That’s not bad honestly. He’s right though. The bulls have been bad for the majority of the last 20 years. Post Jordan they’ve reached the conference finals once, won 4 total playoff series in the last 21 seasons, and have 5 seasons of at least 59 losses in that span. Neither team has been good overall during the last 21 years
