It's too late for Nintendo to come out with a high powered console. Everyone expects the cartoony-mario type games from them, that's what they're used to making and selling, so if they tried to start pushing a "realistic" console they would likely fail miserably.
Nintendo dug their own grave.
Nintendo even in concept racking up L's thinking their gonna capture that casual market again... but seriously that's their damn problem, they will not or wont compete with the big dogs... this is why they fail...
Third party devs would just push for prettier graphics than 60fps. 60fps isn't some goal that's only attainable when a certain power threshold is reached.Do they not realize that if they came out with a system that is 50% more powerful than a ps4 and x86 architecture gamers and developers would have no choice but to support them. Ps4 and xbone would be fighting for 1080p 30fps while nintendo would be 1080p 60fps on every game. Third party didn't support the wii because it was too weak compared to the 360 and ps3 and the same thing happened with the wii-u compared to the ps4 and xbox one. Don't they understand this?
nintendo up $250 million , sony down $1.5 billion so whose really failing here![]()
The point is Nintendo would be the superior version of every third party game and that's a large advantage in gaming today. It's pretty much the main arguing point in the fanboy wars.Third party devs would just push for prettier graphics than 60fps. 60fps isn't some goal that's only attainable when a certain power threshold is reached.
