Pt is not a loss. Just another game to scary for most people to want to play.
If they let micrsoft buy silent hill, they're dead to me. I havnt played a silent hill game since silent hill 2 so fukk um 
so nobody cares about a franchise with 9 games, a comic book series, a novel series, and 2 movies...all of which turned profit. its a cult following huh. kojima is the reason people were excited for silent hill huh
I see your point...I do agree with calling it a niche or cult franchise though. Silent hill has always lived in the large shadow of resident evil, and to be honest, I only really enjoyed the first 2. All the rest, especially the more recent ones have been laughably horrible.

There is no reason to be excited anymore no matter what platform. The last few SH games were ass.
As I understand it, the rumor would be that MS would buy the Kojima project. Hence the reference of the game being 80% complete which has to be complete bs anyway.
Nobody has cared abput SH since the ps2 days. The games since then have been trash and sold less and less.

On point though, konami just came out and said theyre pretty much done with console gaming and will focus on mobile.
Kojima was the sole reason a new silent hill was even coming. Now hes gone.
I doubt konami makes anymore console games at all.

On one hand Microsoft has been very aggressive in acquiring 3rd party IP. So its not a stretch to believe they contacted konami when the shyt hit the fan.
On the other hand we know that the game is nowhere near 80% done. According to Kojima and del toro the game wasnt even in serious development yet.
