It's still the best value in gaming because for the price of one game a month I can play 10,000 games. Plus only maidenless nerds care about keeping a video game. When the next Xbox comes out I'm trading in my Series X for $150 and a $5 coupon towards a second controller.

what I could see happening..is they figure out how to inject the ad/s every time u pause the game. or between screen transitions/ loading screens.. and obviously before and after picking a game lol

Also, Imagine getting washed by a boss and the game over screen says "watch this 30 second ad to stay in the battle and revive from here instantly with 80% health.

Some of these publishers like Square and Take Two have already tried it.

A game needs to be exceptional for me to buy it at full price at launch and prioritize it above my backlog.
