Jez says the rumors are false
Which means its true![]()
I think it's still one more gen because they made a deal with AMD. I know Microsoft is rich, but it would cost a lot of money to break the AMD deal
Noticed target scraped the entire Xbox section in their store. Looking like a decomposing mattress on the side of the road.

This shyt reads like an AI generated responseThe source reporting this seems to be reliable according to others. Even with no discontinuation and another xbox next gen, that system will as though xbox was discontinued. Apparently the next xbox won't be a console but a cross between a pc and console.

Stan’s going down with the shipCostco, target, and Sam’s club and Walmart pretty much bushing Xbox but I guess those are just specialty shops
Titan trying his best. I respect goin down stannin with the shipStan’s going down with the ship

That's true, and I know it's Microsoft. However, I don't think you want to break a deal with a partner like AMD. AMD is a powerful company and you don't want to upset a partner like them that is currently on the rise like they are. I still think it's one more gen and it will most likely be a pre-built pc with an xbox os that is not SOLD at a LOSS. It will be an expensive piece of hardware to target enthusiast and it's clear with current direction that they're okay if you buy games on Playstation, Nintendo, Steam, etc. They are probably going to lose just as much money putting them into production and not selling any
That is gonna bomb too, specially if the Steam "console" rumors are true.Microsoft is making a Steam Machine next gen
It might end up cheaper to buy their hardware over building a pc. I could be wrong, but buying parts in bulk would allow them to gets the needed parts at a much cheaper rate. I think cost will be key for their potential pre-built pc . If it's at a decent price where it's cheaper than building a pc, then they can get a decent amount of sales. I just know one thins for sure they're not selling at a loss, and it will be up in the air if this will be somewhat competitively priced. That is gonna bomb too, specially if the Steam "console" rumors are true.
Console gamers started building their digital libraries on PS4 and they are not gonna abandon that, PC gamers already now how to hook up their PC to their TV if they want to and they won't go for a more expensive Xbox branded build that problaly gonna be hard if not imposible to upgrade.
PC market is different, people don't like closed gardens and honestly looking at their response to the 70 billy investments, the tariffs etc who knows how much they are gonna be willing to lose per box.It might end up cheaper to buy their hardware over building a pc. I think one thing that will doom the steambox is missing out on key live service games. Not having access to Fortnite, riot games, and i could be wrong but there are some issues playing EA games on steam os.PC market is different, people don't like closed gardens and honestly looking at their response to the 70 billy investments, the tariffs etc who knows how much they are gonna be willing to lose per box.
I just don't really see the point of it, even a Valve one would probably do better but not good enough to be like a PS6 competitor.
